The 2018 Château Branaire-Ducru Double Magnum (3L) is among the impressive modern Bordeaux wines of Saint-Julien. The estate is known for its elegant style in which power, precision and freshness come together perfectly. In Double Magnum format, this wine develops even slower and more refined.
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of cassis, blackcurrant, cedar, graphite, cigar box and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with silky tannins, lively fraîcheur and an exceptionally long finish.
A 3-liter Double Magnum allows for a slower evolution of the wine so that aromas and structure develop even more delicately. Large formats are particularly popular with collectors, investors and for festive occasions.
2018 is considered an excellent Bordeaux year with rich, concentrated and elegant wines. Château Branaire-Ducru created a Saint-Julien with impressive precision, finesse and aging potential that continues to develop even more beautifully in large format.
