The 2018 Château Branaire-Ducru Magnum (1.5L) is among the impressive modern Bordeaux wines of Saint-Julien. The estate is known for its elegant style in which power, precision and freshness come together perfectly. In magnum format, this wine develops even slower and more refined.
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of cassis, blackcurrant, cedar, graphite, cigar box and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with silky tannins, lively fraîcheur and an exceptionally long finish.
Magnum bottles allow for a slower and more elegant aging of the wine. As a result, aromas and structure develop even more delicately, making magnums particularly popular with collectors and investors.
2018 is considered an excellent Bordeaux year with rich, concentrated and elegant wines. Château Branaire-Ducru created a Saint-Julien with impressive precision, finesse and aging potential that continues to develop even more beautifully in magnum size.
