The 2015 Niepoort Charme Tinto is a unique red wine from the Douro that stands out for its elegance and finesse. Unlike the powerful style of many Douro wines, Charme is inspired by the subtlety and balance of great Burgundies.
In the glass, this wine shows a bright ruby color. The nose is refined with aromas of cherries, red berries, floral notes and subtle spices. In the mouth light-footed and elegant, with fine tannins, fresh acids and a long, delicate finish.
Serve at 14-16°C. Ideal with poultry, light meat dishes or refined gourmet preparations.
Niepoort Charm is produced from old vineyards and with minimal intervention. The wine is partially aged in used barrels, which contributes to its subtle and elegant character. Known for its balance and finesse, the 2015 vintage is among the Douro's most refined expressions.
