2023 ENATE Rosado Cabernet Sauvignon
A characterful rosé from Somontano
The 2023 ENATE Rosado is a distinctly Spanish rosé from Somontano. Unlike many light rosé wines, this wine is made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon. This gives it more structure, fruit concentration, and character without losing the lively freshness of a rosé.
The Cabernet Sauvignon is harvested early in the morning. In the cellar, the grapes remain in contact with their skins for a short time until the desired color and aromatic intensity are achieved. The clear juice then ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This ensures that the fruit and freshness remain the focus.
ENATE aptly describes its Rosado as a wine with the soul of a white wine and the body of a red wine. The 2023 vintage exemplifies this well, with a combination of intense red and dark fruit, a full-bodied structure, and balanced acidity.
Aroma & taste
Intense fruity aromas of raspberry, blueberry, and other red and dark fruits are complemented by a subtle peppery note. On the palate, the wine starts out full-bodied and meaty, after which the fresh acidity provides liveliness and balance. The finish is long, juicy, and distinctly fruity.
Serving & foodpairing
Serve at around 8–10°C. This full-bodied rosé is exceptionally versatile at the table and pairs beautifully with pasta, poultry, white meat dishes, tapas, rice dishes, and refined appetizers.
Storage potential
Thanks to its Cabernet Sauvignon character, ENATE Rosado has more structure than many simple rosé wines. The 2023 vintage is currently at its peak. We recommend drinking this wine now, in particular, to fully enjoy its fruity freshness and lively character.

Why We Chose This Wine
ENATE Rosado stands out from classic light rosés thanks to its bold Cabernet Sauvignon character. It is a gourmet rosé with enough structure to pair with meals, yet fresh enough to enjoy as an aperitif. With its distinctive style, it makes an interesting addition to our selection of Spanish wines.
The story behind the bottle
ENATE combines wine and art and features works by various artists on its labels. The label for ENATE Rosado is based on an original work by the Spanish artist Víctor Mira. In this way, the bottle embodies a distinctive blend of the Somontano wine style and ENATE’s strong connection to contemporary art.
