The 2023 Zevenwacht Chenin Blanc is a characterful white wine from Stellenbosch, South Africa. Chenin Blanc has a long history in South Africa and is one of the country’s most important white grape varieties. The warm climate is balanced by cooling influences, resulting in a beautiful blend of ripe fruit and crisp acidity.
Zevenwacht is located on the Stellenbosch Wine Route and produces wines that highlight the fruit and the character of the grape variety. This Chenin Blanc combines an approachable, fruity style with enough freshness and structure to make it a versatile choice for the dinner table.
Expressive aromas of citrus, pear, peach, and ripe stone fruit are complemented by subtle tropical and floral notes. On the palate, the wine is juicy and fresh, with a pleasant concentration of fruit and a well-balanced finish.
Serve at around 8–10°C. Delicious as an aperitif and a great accompaniment to shellfish, grilled fish, salads, poultry, light Asian dishes, and mild cheeses.
Zevenwacht is a historic winery in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape. The estate is located in an area with diverse soil types and cooling influences from the nearby coast. Chenin Blanc thrives in South Africa, producing both fresh, approachable wines and more complex wines with aging potential.
