The 2007 Fonseca Vintage Port is among the most impressive vintage ports of the modern Douro. The 2007 vintage produced perfectly balanced vintage ports with intense fruit expression, structure and exceptional storage potential. Fonseca here combines power with refinement in its signature rich style.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, cocoa and exotic spices. On the palate, it is rich and powerful, with velvety tannins, lively acidity and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
2007 is considered an exceptionally elegant vintage year in the Douro. With this wine, Fonseca created a vintage port that perfectly combines power, finesse and aging potential. Already impressive today, but with potential to continue evolving for decades to come.
