The 2000 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port is among the impressive vintage ports of the iconic 2000 vintage. Smith Woodhouse is known for its classic Douro style with powerful structure, elegant fruit expression and excellent storage potential.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, cocoa and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with firm but elegant tannins, lively acidity and a long complex finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with blue-veined cheeses, chocolate desserts or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
