The 1994 Quinta da Eira Velha Single Quinta Vintage Port is among the great classic vintage ports of the Douro. The historic 1994 vintage produced exceptional ports with enormous concentration, structure and storage potential. This single quinta vintage perfectly reflects the character of one exceptional estate.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color with slight evolution. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, fig, cocoa, coffee and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with velvety tannins, lively acidity and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with blue-veined cheeses, chocolate desserts or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
1994 is considered one of the greatest vintage years of recent decades in the Douro. Quinta da Eira Velha created an impressive single quinta vintage port with tremendous elegance, depth and aging potential that is beautifully developed today.
