The 2013 Opus One OWC3 (3 × 0.75L) is one of the most coveted wines from Napa Valley. Opus One was born out of the historic collaboration between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi and has grown into one of the most prestigious wineries in the world. The original wooden case enhances the authenticity and collectible value of this exceptional wine.
The 2013 vintage is widely regarded as one of the best ever for Opus One. Ideal weather conditions produced perfectly ripe grapes with impressive concentration, refined tannins, and exceptional balance. The wine combines the structure of a great Bordeaux with the richness of Napa Valley and has tremendous aging potential.
The wine opens with aromas of cassis, black cherries, blueberries, violets, graphite, cedar, dark chocolate, espresso, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is powerful and silky smooth with perfectly integrated tannins, impressive depth, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
An Original Wooden Case (OWC3) provides optimal protection for the bottles during transport and long-term storage. For Opus One, an original wooden case also enhances its collectible value, authenticity, and appeal on the international wine market.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Delicious with grilled beef, lamb, game, veal, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
