The 2019 Château Haut Brisson is a refined Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from one of the best Bordeaux vintages of recent years. The combination of warm days and cool nights resulted in perfectly ripe grapes with great concentration, freshness, and balance. The result is a wine that already displays charm but also has excellent aging potential.
Château Haut Brisson is located in the heart of Saint-Émilion and primarily produces wines made from Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc. Aging in French oak barrels adds extra complexity without overpowering the fruit. The wine combines power with elegance and reflects the character of Bordeaux’s right bank.
The wine opens with aromas of black cherries, cassis, plums, violets, cedar, cocoa, vanilla, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with velvety tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, refined finish.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about one hour in advance. Delicious with beef, lamb, duck, veal, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
