The 2020 Château Haut Brisson is an elegant Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from one of the best recent Bordeaux vintages. Thanks to optimal ripening conditions, the grapes developed exceptional concentration, perfect ripeness, and a lively freshness. The result is a wine with great depth, refinement, and impressive aging potential.
Château Haut Brisson is located on the limestone and clay soils of Saint-Émilion and primarily produces wines made from Merlot, supplemented with Cabernet Franc. Aging in French oak barrels adds extra complexity to the wine without overpowering its fruit expression. The 2020 vintage combines power, elegance, and a distinct expression of terroir.
The wine opens with aromas of black cherries, cassis, plums, violets, cedar, cocoa, vanilla, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is rich and harmonious, with velvety tannins, lively acidity, and a long, mineral finish.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about one to two hours in advance. Delicious with beef, lamb, duck, veal, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
The 2020 Château Haut Brisson has excellent aging potential of twenty-five years or more.
