2015 Château Haut Brisson from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
A refined Grand Cru from an exceptional Bordeaux vintage
The 2015 Château Haut Brisson is an elegant Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from one of the best vintages of the past decade. The estate is known for its terroir of clay and limestone soils, on which primarily Merlot and Cabernet Franc are planted. The 2015 vintage produced perfectly ripe grapes and resulted in a wine that is powerful, refined, and impressively balanced.
Thanks to careful winemaking and aging in French oak barrels, this wine develops a lovely complexity with ripe dark fruit, subtle spice, and velvety tannins. The wine is already appealing, but will continue to develop over the coming years.
Aroma & taste
The wine opens with aromas of black cherries, cassis, plums, violets, cedar, cocoa, vanilla, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, elegant finish.
Serving & foodpairing
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about one hour in advance. Delicious with beef, lamb, duck, veal, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
Storage potential
The 2015 Château Haut Brisson has an aging potential of about twenty years.
