The 2018 Château Saint-Georges Côte Pavie is a magnificent expression of the exceptional 2018 Bordeaux vintage. Sourced from the limestone and clay slopes of Saint-Émilion, this Grand Cru combines the ripeness of the warm growing season with the freshness that characterizes the terroir. The result is a wine with great concentration, refined structure, and excellent balance.
The blend is dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc. Together, these grapes produce a wine with deep fruit aromas, velvety tannins, and a long, elegant finish. Château Saint-Georges Côte Pavie is known for its excellent value and, year after year, produces classic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines with good aging potential.
In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby-red color. The nose opens with aromas of black cherries, cassis, plums, violets, graphite, cedarwood, tobacco, and subtle spices. The palate is full-bodied and harmonious, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral finish.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about one hour in advance. Delicious with entrecôte, lamb, duck, game, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
The 2018 Château Saint-Georges Côte Pavie has excellent aging potential of twenty years or more and will continue to refine as it ages in the bottle.
