The 1982 Martinez Vintage Port is a superb example of classic aged vintage port from the Douro. Known for his elegant style, Martinez created a wine with refinement, smoothness and impressive aromatic complexity in 1982.
In the glass, this port shows an evolved ruby color with tawny reflections. The nose is complex and refined with aromas of dried figs, plums, walnuts, cocoa, coffee and subtle spices. On the palate elegant and harmonious, with soft tannins and a long, refined finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Delicious with blue cheese, nut desserts or as an exclusive digestive wine.
Martinez is among the classic historic port houses of the Douro. The 1982 vintage developed over the years into an elegant and refined port that today is particularly loved by collectors and lovers of aged vintage ports.
