The 1985 Fonseca Vintage Port is among the most highly regarded vintage ports of the 1980s. Known for its rich and voluptuous style, Fonseca combines intense fruit concentration with elegance and impressive aging potential in this wine.
In the glass, this port shows an evolved ruby color with light amber reflections. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of blackcurrants, dried plums, dark chocolate, figs and exotic spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with soft tannins, lively acidity and a particularly long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
