The nose opens with aromas of cassis, black cherries, plums, violets, graphite, cedarwood, tobacco, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is both powerful and refined, with silky-smooth tannins, impressive minerality, and an exceptionally long finish in which elegance and concentration blend perfectly.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine at least two hours in advance. Perfect with entrecôte, lamb, roe deer, venison, duck, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
