The 2011 Croft Vintage Port is among the absolute best of modern Douro. The legendary 2011 vintage produced perfectly balanced vintage ports with intense fruit concentration, structure and exceptional storage potential. Croft combines power with a refined and elegant style in this wine.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, dark chocolate and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with impressive concentration, silky tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
2011 is considered one of the greatest vintage years of the modern Douro. Croft created a monumental vintage port with tremendous elegance, precision and storage potential that will continue to develop beautifully in the decades to come.
