The 2011 Fonseca Vintage Port ranks among the absolute best of modern vintage ports. The legendary 2011 vintage produced perfectly balanced ports with intense fruit concentration, structure and exceptional storage potential. Fonseca combines power with refinement in this wine in its signature rich style.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, dark chocolate and exotic spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with impressive concentration, velvety tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
2011 is considered one of the greatest vintage years of recent decades in the Douro. Fonseca created a monumental vintage port with enormous depth, elegance and storage potential that already drinks impressively today but can continue to age for many decades to come.
