The 2000 Taylor Fladgate Vargellas Vinha Velha Vintage Port is among the absolute best of modern vintage ports. Sourced from the oldest vines of Quinta de Vargellas, this case of three bottles represents one of the house's most exclusive expressions.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, intense ruby color. The nose is rich and complex with aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, plum, cocoa and spice. In the mouth powerful and concentrated, with firm but refined tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with blue-veined cheeses, dark chocolate desserts or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party. Perfect for sharing on special occasions.
