Colheita Port is a special cask-aged port from a specific vintage. Unlike Vintage Port, a Colheita is aged for years in wooden casks before being bottled. This results in an elegant and complex style with aromas of dried fruit, nuts, caramel, and spices.
At Port2Port, you’ll find a carefully curated collection of Colheita Port and Single Harvest Port from various vintages—ranging from more recent vintages to aged and rare bottles for enthusiasts, collectors, and special occasions.
A Colheita is a Tawny Port from a single specific vintage. The port is aged for at least seven years in wooden barrels. However, many Colheita Ports are aged for considerably longer before being bottled, allowing them to develop ever-greater complexity and refinement.
Since the vintage year is listed on the bottle, Colheita Port is also a great choice if you're looking for a port from a specific year—such as the year you got married or the year of an anniversary.
"Single Harvest" is a term used by some port houses to refer to cask-aged port from a single specific vintage. In our selection, you may therefore find both Colheita Port and Single Harvest Port. Both styles combine the character of a single vintage with long aging in wooden casks.
