The 2017 Nicole Lamarche Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru is among the finest Premier Cru wines of Burgundy. Domaine Nicole Lamarche is known for its elegant Pinot Noir wines, in which terroir and finesse take center stage. Les Suchots is situated among some of the most famous Grand Cru vineyards of Vosne-Romanée and is considered one of the appellation’s most prestigious Premier Crus.
The 2017 vintage produced healthy grapes with an excellent balance between ripe fruit, lively acidity, and refined tannins. After aging in French oak barrels, the wine develops impressive aromatic complexity and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
The wine opens with aromas of red cherries, wild strawberries, raspberries, violets, rose petals, spices, forest floor, and subtle oak notes. On the palate, it is silky smooth with refined tannins, lively freshness, and a long, mineral finish.
Serve at 15–16°C and decant the wine about one hour in advance. Delicious with veal, duck, pheasant, quail, truffle dishes, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
The 2017 Nicole Lamarche Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru has an aging potential of twenty to thirty years.
