The 2019 Domaine Nicole Lamarche La Grande Rue Grand Cru Monopole OWC6 (6 × 0.75L) ranks among the absolute best Burgundies in the world. La Grande Rue is an extremely rare Grand Cru that is wholly owned by Domaine Nicole Lamarche. As a monopole, this vineyard occupies a unique place among iconic neighbors such as La Tâche, Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, and Richebourg.
The 2019 vintage is considered one of the finest in Burgundy in recent decades. Thanks to perfect ripeness, exceptional concentration, and impressive freshness, this Pinot Noir displays a unique combination of power, elegance, and expression of terroir. The original wooden case containing six bottles enhances its authenticity and makes this edition particularly attractive to collectors and investors.
The wine opens with intense aromas of wild cherries, raspberries, black currants, violets, rose petals, oriental spices, forest floor, truffle, and subtle oak notes. On the palate, it is silky and powerful at the same time, with perfectly integrated tannins, impressive minerality, and an exceptionally long finish.
An Original Wooden Case (OWC6) provides optimal protection for the bottles during transport and long-term storage. For a rare Grand Cru Monopole such as La Grande Rue, an original wooden case also increases its collectible value and appeal on the international wine market.
Serve at 15–16°C and decant the wine about one hour in advance. Delicious with veal, duck, pigeon, game birds, truffle dishes, mushrooms, and refined French cuisine.
