The 2016 Vincent Dancer Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée is an exceptional white Burgundy from one of the most highly regarded villages in the Côte de Beaune. La Romanée is a Premier Cru terroir within Chassagne-Montrachet where Chardonnay grapes can produce wines with concentration, refinement, and a distinct mineral structure.
Vincent Dancer works with small plots and limited production and has built a strong reputation among Burgundy enthusiasts. This 2016 vintage has now spent about ten years aging in the bottle. As a result, the wine is in an interesting phase where ripe fruit, minerality, and more complex aging notes come together.

Layered aromas of citrus, ripe apple, pear, and white stone fruit are complemented by floral, spicy, and mineral notes. Bottle aging can bring out more complex notes of hazelnut, brioche, and dried citrus. The palate is concentrated and refined, with crisp acidity, a lovely texture, and a long, mineral finish.
Serve at around 11–13°C in large white wine glasses. Excellent with lobster, scallops, turbot, sole, refined fish dishes, poultry, veal, and dishes with a delicate butter or cream sauce.
