The 2016 Torres Reserva Real Magnum (1.5L) is one of Spain’s most exclusive red wines. This prestigious cuvée from Familia Torres is produced exclusively in exceptional vintages and pays tribute to the Spanish royal family’s visit to the estate. The Magnum bottle also ensures a slower and more balanced aging process, allowing the wine to develop even more beautifully.
The outstanding 2016 vintage yielded grapes of exceptional quality. After a long aging period in French oak barrels, the wine develops impressive aromatic complexity, velvety-smooth tannins, and an exceptionally long finish. The Magnum is particularly popular among collectors and ideal for long-term cellaring.
The wine opens with aromas of cassis, black cherries, plums, cedar, graphite, dark chocolate, tobacco, Mediterranean herbs, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is powerful and elegant, with silky-smooth tannins, lively acidity, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
A Magnum (1.5L) ages more slowly than a standard bottle, allowing the wine to retain its freshness, finesse, and complexity for longer. In addition, a Magnum is particularly popular among collectors and is perfect for special occasions.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Delicious with grilled beef, lamb, game, Iberian pork, and aged hard cheeses.
The 2016 Torres Reserva Real Magnum has an aging potential of thirty to forty years.
