The 2015 Barros Late Bottled Vintage Port is a classic LBV sourced from one exceptional vintage. This port ages longer in barrel than a traditional vintage port, making it more accessible earlier but still retaining its complexity and structure.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color. The nose is expressive with aromas of blackcurrant, plum, cocoa and subtle spicy notes. In the mouth rich and supple, with soft tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as a sophisticated end to a dinner party.
Late Bottled Vintage Port combines the character of a vintage port with additional barrel aging, making the wine more accessible without losing its depth. Barros' 2015 vintage offers a nice balance of fruit, elegance and aging potential.
