The 2011 Fonseca Vintage Port Double Magnum (3L) ranks among the absolute best of modern vintage ports. The legendary 2011 vintage produced perfectly balanced ports with intense fruit concentration, structure and exceptional storage potential. In Double Magnum format, this wine develops even slower and more refined.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, dark chocolate and exotic spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with impressive concentration, velvety tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
A 3-liter Double Magnum allows for a slower and more elegant aging of the wine. As a result, the vintage port develops additional finesse and complexity. The impressive size makes this bottle particularly popular with collectors, investors and exclusive events.
