The 2000 Fonseca Vintage Port is among the most impressive vintage ports of the 2000 vintage. Known for its rich, voluptuous style, Fonseca combines intense fruit concentration with elegance and tremendous aging potential in this wine.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, dark chocolate, violets and exotic spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with silky tannins, impressive concentration and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
