The 1985 Cálem Vintage Port comes from one of the most renowned vintage years of the 1980s. Thanks to decades of bottle aging, this wine developed a wonderful balance of ripe fruit, elegance and refinement.
In the glass, this port shows an evolved ruby color with amber nuances. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of blackcurrants, dried figs, cocoa, nuts and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with soft tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 14-16°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, soft cheeses or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
The year 1985 is considered a classic and outstanding vintage year in the Douro. With this wine, Cálem created an elegant and long-maturing vintage port that is particularly appreciated today by lovers of old ports.
