The 1940 Barros Vintage Port is an extremely rare and iconic port from an exceptional historic vintage. This wine was allowed to age for decades, developing unprecedented complexity, elegance and refinement.
In the glass, this port shows an evolved ruby color with amber reflections. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of dried fruit, nuts, caramel, orange peel and subtle herbal notes. On the palate silky and harmonious, with refined acidity and an endless finish.
Serve at 14-16°C. Ideal as an exclusive meditation wine or with refined desserts and soft cheeses.
