The wine opens with aromas of black currants, blackberries, violets, black olives, pepper, graphite, smoked meat, cocoa, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is powerful and refined, with silky-smooth tannins, pronounced minerality, and an endless finish.
An Original Wooden Case (OWC6) provides optimal protection for the bottles during transport and long-term storage. For an iconic wine like L’Ermite, an original wooden case also increases its collectible value and appeal on the international wine market.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Delicious with beef, lamb, game, venison, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
