The 2020 Château Pichon Comtesse OWC6 (6 × 0.75L) ranks among the very best of Bordeaux. The 2020 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest of the past decades. The combination of perfectly ripe grapes, fresh acidity, and exceptional concentration resulted in a wine with great depth and remarkable precision. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot produces a Pauillac in which power, finesse, and elegance are perfectly balanced.
The wine opens with intense aromas of cassis, black currants, plums, violets, graphite, cedarwood, tobacco, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, it displays impressive concentration with silky-smooth tannins, lively freshness, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
An Original Wooden Case (OWC6) provides optimal protection for the bottles during transport and long-term storage. For iconic wines such as Château Pichon Comtesse, an original wooden case also enhances their authenticity and collectible value.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Delicious with entrecôte, lamb, roe deer, venison, duck, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
