The 2018 Château Pichon Comtesse OWC6 (6 × 0.75L) ranks among the very best of Pauillac. Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande enjoys an exceptional reputation worldwide thanks to its elegant style, impressive complexity, and tremendous aging potential. The original wooden case containing six bottles not only enhances the authenticity but also the collectible value of this prestigious wine.
The 2018 vintage is considered one of the best Bordeaux vintages of recent decades. Ideal weather conditions produced perfectly ripe grapes with exceptional concentration and refinement. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot results in a wine with silky-smooth tannins, impressive aromatic richness, and an exceptionally long finish.
The nose opens with aromas of cassis, black currants, plums, violets, graphite, cedarwood, tobacco, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet refined, with velvety tannins, a lively freshness, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
An Original Wooden Case (OWC6) provides optimal protection for the bottles during transport and long-term storage. For investment wines such as Château Pichon Comtesse, an original wooden case also adds significant value for collectors and the secondary wine market.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine at least two hours in advance. Delicious with entrecôte, lamb, roe deer, venison, duck, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
