The 2017 Fonseca Vintage Port Imperial (6L) ranks among the absolute best of modern vintage ports. The iconic 2017 vintage produced concentrated and perfectly balanced ports with intense fruit expression, structure and exceptional storage potential. In Imperial format, this wine develops even slower and more refined.
In the glass, this port shows a deep, almost opaque ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, dark chocolate and exotic spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with impressive concentration, velvety tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
A 6-liter Imperial bottle allows for a slower and more elegant aging of the wine. As a result, the vintage port develops additional finesse and complexity. The impressive size makes this bottle particularly popular with collectors, investors and exclusive events.
