The 2015 Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port is a beautiful expression of Fonseca's elegant and fruit-driven style. The Guimaraens Vintage Ports are produced in years when Fonseca does not declare a classic Vintage Port, but often deliver wines of impressive quality and preservation potential.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, cocoa and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with velvety tannins, lively acidity and a long elegant finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
The Guimaraens Vintage Ports bear the Fonseca family name and represent a more accessible but particularly refined style within the house's range. The 2015 vintage combines elegance, freshness and fruit concentration with excellent ageing potential.
