The 2005 Barros Late Bottled Vintage Port is a classic LBV sourced from a single vintage. Thanks to longer barrel aging, this port develops extra softness and accessibility while retaining its depth and character.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color with slight evolution. The nose is rich and refined with aromas of blackcurrants, dried plums, cocoa and subtle spices. In the mouth supple and harmonious, with soft tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as a sophisticated end to a dinner party.
Late Bottled Vintage Port offers the character of vintage port with additional barrel aging for greater accessibility. Barros' 2005 vintage combines ripe fruit, elegance and smoothness and is an excellent choice for lovers of classic LBV ports.
