The 2000 Barros Vintage Port comes from one of the most renowned vintage years of the modern Douro. This wine combines concentration, richness and elegance and developed additional complexity and finesse thanks to bottle aging.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, cocoa, figs and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and powerful, with ripe tannins, fresh acids and a particularly long finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
The year 2000 is considered an iconic millennium year for vintage port. Barros created a powerful and elegant vintage port with great storage potential and a classic Douro signature with this wine.
