The 1997 Barros Vintage Port comes from one of the most prized vintage years of the 1990s. Thanks to years of bottle aging, this wine developed an impressive balance of power, elegance and refinement.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color with slight evolution. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, cocoa, figs and subtle spicy notes. In the mouth rich and full, with soft tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Ideal with chocolate desserts, blue cheese or as an exclusive finale to a dinner party.
The 1997 vintage is considered a strong year for vintage port in the Douro. Barros combined concentration, elegance and storage potential in this wine, making this bottle particularly beloved today by lovers of classic vintage ports.
