The 1980 Barros Vintage Port is a beautiful expression of a classic Douro vintage. Thanks to decades of aging, this wine developed impressive complexity and refinement, with a style that lovers of old ports particularly appreciate.
In the glass, this port shows an evolved ruby color with amber reflections. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of dried figs, nuts, caramel, orange peel and subtle spices. On the palate elegant and harmonious, with soft tannins and an exceptionally long finish.
Serve at 14-16°C. Ideal as a meditation wine or with desserts with chocolate, nuts and soft cheeses.
