The 2024 Tormaresca Chardonnay is a fresh and approachable white wine from Puglia in southern Italy. Tormaresca is part of the Antinori family and was founded to showcase the potential of southern Italian viticulture.
The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine also ages in stainless steel. This ensures that the freshness, fruitiness, and aromatic character of Chardonnay remain at the forefront.
Straw yellow with green highlights. On the nose, we find white fruit, apple, and pineapple, along with fresh citrus and floral notes, including orange blossom and jasmine. On the palate, the wine is juicy and smooth, with a lovely freshness and a slightly savory touch.
Serve at around 8–10°C. Excellent as an aperitif and with grilled fish, shellfish, pasta, salads, poultry, and soft cheeses.
Tormaresca is the Antinori family's project in Puglia. The family began investing in the region in the late 1990s, convinced that Puglia had great potential for quality wine. In addition to local grape varieties, Tormaresca also produces Chardonnay in a fresh, Mediterranean style.
