The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot produces a wine with tremendous depth and perfect balance. The estate’s characteristic gravel soils impart a distinct minerality and an elegant structure, making this wine impressive even when young, while also offering exceptional aging potential.
The wine opens with intense aromas of cassis, black currants, plums, violets, graphite, cedarwood, tobacco, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is both powerful and refined, with velvety-smooth tannins, lively freshness, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Perfect with grilled beef, lamb, roe deer, venison, duck, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
