The 2020 Masseto Toscana IGT OWC3 (3 × 0.75L) ranks among the absolute best Italian wines in the world. Masseto is produced exclusively from Merlot grapes grown in the famous blue clay soil of the Masseto terroir in Bolgheri. The 2020 vintage combines power, elegance, and exceptional precision. Thanks to optimal ripening conditions, the wine displays impressive concentration, a silky-smooth texture, and tremendous aromatic complexity. Masseto is known worldwide as one of the greatest Merlot wines and is often mentioned in the same breath as Pétrus and Le Pin.
The wine opens with aromas of black cherries, cassis, plums, violets, dark chocolate, graphite, cedar, truffle, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is intense and velvety smooth with perfectly integrated tannins, a lively freshness, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
An Original Wooden Case (OWC3) provides optimal protection for the bottles during transport and long-term storage. For Masseto, an original wooden case also enhances the collectible value, authenticity, and appeal on the international wine market.
Serve at 16–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Delicious with refined beef dishes, veal, lamb, game, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
