The 2020 Château Lagrange is among the most successful recent vintages from this renowned estate in Saint-Julien. As a Troisième Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, Château Lagrange enjoys an excellent reputation thanks to its consistent quality and its ability to produce powerful yet elegant Bordeaux wines.
The exceptional 2020 vintage provided ideal conditions for optimal ripening of the grapes. The result is a wine with concentration, depth, and refinement, without losing its classic Saint-Julien character. The nose opens with aromas of cassis, black currants, plums, cedar, graphite, cigar box, and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine displays impressive structure with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and a beautiful balance between fruit and oak. The finish is long, refined, and complex.
Serve at 16–18°C. This wine pairs excellently with entrecôte, côte à l’os, lamb, game dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
