The 2020 Cantina di Sava Ritardatario Primitivo di Manduria is a powerful red wine from sunny Puglia in southern Italy. This Primitivo is known for its rich style, concentrated fruit expression and soft structure. Thanks to the late harvest (“Ritardatario”), the wine develops extra ripeness and depth.
In the glass, this wine shows a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and seductive with aromas of ripe black cherries, plums, chocolate, vanilla and Mediterranean spices. In the mouth full and soft, with ripe tannins, a creamy texture and a long warm finish.
Serve at 16-18°C. Delicious with grilled meats, pastas with rich sauces, barbecue dishes or aged cheeses.
Cantina di Sava is among the well-known producers of Primitivo di Manduria in Puglia. With the Ritardatario, the estate creates a modern southern Italian wine style that perfectly combines power, ripe fruit and softness.
