The 2019 Tornesi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG is a refined expression of Montalcino’s unique terroir. The Tornesi winery is known for its traditional approach, low yields, and respect for the Sangiovese grape. The exceptional 2019 vintage produced perfectly ripe grapes with impressive concentration, lively freshness, and refined structure.
After extended aging in large oak barrels, the wine develops a harmonious balance between ripe red fruit, floral aromas, spiciness, and mineral finesse. The Riserva offers additional depth and complexity and has excellent aging potential.
The wine opens with aromas of ripe cherries, plums, violets, rose petals, tobacco, leather, balsamic vinegar, licorice, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is powerful and elegant, with refined tannins, lively acidity, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
Serve at 17–18°C and decant the wine about two hours in advance. Delicious with grilled beef, game, lamb, truffle dishes, mushrooms, and aged hard cheeses.
