The 2015 vintage is widely regarded as one of the best harvest years of the past decade in Bolgheri. Ideal weather conditions produced perfectly ripe grapes with impressive concentration, ripe tannins, and exceptional aromatic intensity. The nose opens with intense aromas of cassis, black cherries, plums, graphite, cedarwood, tobacco, dark chocolate, Mediterranean herbs, and subtle balsamic notes. On the palate, it is rich and powerful, with velvety tannins, perfect balance, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish.
Serve at 17–18°C and decant the wine at least two hours in advance. Perfect with Florentine bistecca, grilled beef, lamb, game dishes, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
