The 2009 Fonseca Vintage Port Imperial (6L) is an exceptional large-format bottle from an elegant and rich vintage year in the Douro. Known for its powerful and voluptuous style, Fonseca combines intense fruit expression with refinement and enormous storage potential in this wine.
In the glass, this port shows a deep ruby color. The nose is intense and refined with aromas of blackcurrants, plums, violets, cocoa and subtle spices. In the mouth rich and harmonious, with velvety tannins, fresh acidity and an exceptionally long finish.
A 6-liter Imperial bottle allows for a slower and more elegant aging of the wine. As a result, the vintage port develops additional complexity and finesse. The impressive size makes this bottle particularly sought after by collectors, investors and exclusive occasions.
