Pauillac is one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious appellations. Its red wines are known for their power, structure, and excellent aging potential. Cabernet Sauvignon usually plays the leading role here, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, among others.
At Port2Port, you’ll find an extensive selection of Pauillac wines from various vintages. From approachable wines to exceptional bottles from renowned châteaux for enthusiasts and collectors.
Pauillac is located on the left bank of the Gironde River in the Médoc. The gravelly soils and temperate climate provide excellent conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. Typical Pauillac wines combine dark fruit with notes of blackcurrant, cedar, spices, and graphite. With bottle aging, the wines become softer and more complex.
The appellation is renowned worldwide for its great châteaux and historic classification. Three of Bordeaux’s five Premier Grand Cru Classé wines are located in Pauillac: Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour, and Château Mouton Rothschild.
A good Pauillac can age for decades. This makes older vintages particularly appealing to collectors, but they also make excellent gifts to commemorate a birth year, wedding, or anniversary.
Our selection changes regularly and includes various producers and vintages. This allows you to search specifically for a Pauillac that suits the occasion, the vintage, or the château.
