Scion - An immortal port from a forgotten time
The soul of the Douro, preserved since the early 19th century
The Taylor Fladgate Scion is no ordinary wine, no ordinary port. It is a masterpiece that has defied time. Originally harvested in the first quarter of the 19th century, before the all-consuming phylloxera outbreak, this port remained undisturbed in oak barrels for more than a century and a half. In 2008, Taylor Fladgate discovered this wine in a remote cellar - perfectly preserved and of unprecedented quality. Bottled as ‘Scion,’ it became a tribute to the craftsmanship, heritage and mystery of great port wines.
