The 2019 Marchesi Antinori Tignanello IGT ranks among the very best in the Italian wine world. The 2019 vintage is considered one of the best modern vintages of Tignanello. Ideal weather conditions allowed for a slow and steady ripening of the grapes, resulting in a wine with impressive aromatic intensity, perfect balance, and exceptional freshness. The nose opens with complex aromas of black cherries, cassis, plums, violets, graphite, tobacco, cedar, cocoa, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is both powerful and refined, with silky-smooth tannins, lively acidity, and an exceptionally long, mineral finish in which fruit, wood, and terroir come together perfectly.
Serve at 17–18°C and decant the wine one to two hours in advance. Perfect with Florentine bistecca, grilled beef, lamb, game dishes, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
