The 2017 Tenuta Tignanello ‘Marchese Antinori’ Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG is an outstanding example of the world-famous Chianti Classico appellation. Produced at Tenuta Tignanello, one of Marchesi Antinori’s most iconic estates, this wine combines centuries-old Tuscan tradition with modern viticultural techniques. The estate enjoys worldwide recognition thanks to its exceptional quality and its influence on modern Italian winemaking.
Despite the hot and dry growing season, Tenuta Tignanello managed to produce a remarkably balanced wine in 2017. Thanks to a careful selection of the best grapes, the result is a Riserva with ripe fruit, refined structure, and impressive aromatic complexity. The wine perfectly showcases the elegance and character for which Marchesi Antinori is internationally renowned.
The nose reveals aromas of ripe cherries, black currants, violets, tobacco, leather, vanilla, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is rich and harmonious, featuring juicy red fruit, lively acidity, silky-smooth tannins, and a long, mineral finish that beautifully reflects the Tuscan terroir.
Serve at 16–18°C. Perfect with grilled beef, lamb, truffle pasta, mushroom risotto, game dishes, and aged Pecorino or Parmigiano Reggiano.
The 2017 vintage has excellent aging potential. Under ideal conditions, this Riserva will continue to develop and gain complexity for another fifteen to twenty years.
